De Africa Roots Movements kwam afgelopen zondag bijeen om de plannen voor de Week van 1104 nader vorm te geven. Hieronder verder in het Engels: The Africa Roots Movements (ARMs) met on Sunday the 22nd of August 2021 to finalize the Week van 1104. The following points were concluded:
The 5th and 12th of September 2021 from 5pm to 9pm are the dates & time chosen for our activities, in line with the fact that Sundays are always the meetings days every week of the ARMs at Klieverink 73.
The program for the week of 1104 discussed are as follows:
- DAY ONE 5 sep – Dance & cultural displays, discussions about African peoples identity, BBQ, foods & drinks
- DAY TWO 12 sep – Dance & cultural displays, discussions about Reparations, African Cultural Heritage Centre ACHC presentations, BBQ, foods & drinks……
- The location of the event will be at the open field beside Bonte Kraai
- Materials / Equipments: Four tents may be required, generator for electricity, wifi provision for internet connection, chairs & tables….. etc
- Budget sought to organize this is approx 2000 euro’s
- Personnel: about 6 people are needed to work on the events days.
Last year in 2020 the ACHC was a great, great succes during the week of 1104.
