Dit skatepark mag door alle skaters worden gebruikt.

Met een BMX-fiets of inline skates mag je er ook op.

Skatelessen beginnen in maart en april 2022.

Zo’n 40 skaters hebben ontworpen en gebouwd. Ook vele buurtbewoners hebben geholpen. Jongeren uit Zuidoost hebben dit skateparkje zelf ontworpen en gebouwd onder begeleiding van vereniging Skatemates.nl (zelf skateboarders).

Zegt Pieter Glas:

‘’Een drijfveer van mij is, dat je je eigen omgeving kan vormgeven. Binnen de skate-cultuur gaan we niet zitten afwachten maar de Do It Yourself mentaliteit is wat ik persoonlijk wil uitdragen met dit project. Ik hoop dat dit jongeren in deze buurt inspireert om ook aan te pakken.

We hebben dit met een hele groep echt samen gedaan. Daar ontstaan vriendschappen uit en naar het skateparkje toe een mate van eigenaarschap. Het is ons geschenk aan deze buurt, we willen hiermee een positieve bijdrage leveren. Maar bovenal natuurlijk zelf lekker skaten en een gezellige tijd hebben.’’

ACTIVITEITEN

Volgend seizoen in de lente van 2022 gaan wij skateboardlessen aanbieden, dat zal zijn vanaf maart/ april. De lessen worden aan geboden voor beginners in blokken van 5 lessen.

Dit Skatepark is mogelijk gemaakt door en dankzij 

ENGLISH

In recent months, residents from Zuidoost have worked hard and built their own skate park in the public space in the K neighborhood.!! The park is located next to Fort Kraaiennest, the sports fields and the playground.

Young people from Southeast have designed and built this skate park themselves under the guidance of the Skatemates association. nl (skateboarders themselves)

Anyone with a skateboard, inline skates and BMX can use this on a daily basis.

Next season in the spring of 2022 we will offer skateboard lessons, which will be from March/April. Lessons are offered for beginners in blocks of 5 lessons.

We are very happy that the Municipality of Amsterdam supports our initiative and that we have been given this place to build ourselves, Do It Yourself! That is why it bears the name. Skatepark Crow’s Nest DIY.

The financing was established by writing to Funds and support from the K Middenco-creation trajectory

About 40 skaters have designed and built it. Many local residents have also helped.

Pieter Glass says:

“One of my motivations is that you can shape your own environment. Within the skate culture we don’t sit and wait, but the Do It Yourself mentality is what I personally want to propagate with this project. I hope this inspires young people in this neighborhood to take action too.

We really did this together with a whole group. Friendships arise from there and a degree of ownership towards the skate park. It is our gift to this neighbourhood, we want to make a positive contribution with it. But above all, of course, enjoy skating and have a good time.”
